Data Nala may process

Nala is designed to minimize data collection. Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

• Location data (approximate or precise): used to compute prayer times and provide Qibla direction when enabled.
• In-app settings: such as calculation method, selected city/location, reminder times, and widget preferences.

Nala does not seek to collect sensitive data beyond what is necessary for core functionality.

How we use permissions

• Location permission: to calculate accurate prayer times and provide Qibla direction. You can deny permission, but some features may be less accurate or unavailable.
• Notification permission: to deliver prayer alarms and reminders you configure. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings at any time.

Prayer time calculations

Nala uses location (when permitted) and in-app calculation settings to provide accurate prayer times. You can adjust calculation method and preferences inside the app.

Widgets and Live Activities

Widgets and Live Activities may show information such as the next prayer and time remaining based on your in-app settings. The goal is to reduce the need to open the app frequently.

On-device data storage

Your preferences and configuration may be stored locally on your device to improve performance and reliability. We do not sell your data or use it for targeted advertising.

Sharing and selling of personal information

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We may comply with valid legal requests (e.g., court orders) when required, limited to what is necessary.

Children

Nala is not directed to children under the applicable age of digital consent. If you believe a child provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will address it where applicable.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
